SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (September 12, 2024) — U.S. company Fuse Energy Technologies (Fuse) announced two new Advisory Board members who have deep experience with the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and with select international governments and commercial entities.
Joining Fuse’s Advisory Board are:
Doug Greenlaw, former Lockheed Martin Chief Executive for Asia
Greenlaw oversaw Lockheed Martin’s full corporate portfolio from India to Korea and led growth and execution of eight Lockheed Martin offices across Asia. Prior to this, he was the Vice President of International Strategy at Lockheed, supporting increased revenues of over $15 billion per year. Greenlaw also previously worked for the MITRE Corporation and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
Dr. Gregory Van Dyk, Colonel, U.S. Air Force (ret)
Dr. Van Dyk holds a PhD in nuclear engineering and was the former Chief Scientist for the Department of Defense’s Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) program, the largest defense program in development with a $141 billion budget. Prior to that role, he led two multi-billion-dollar Acquisition Category (ACAT) I programs developing advanced capabilities for the strategic deterrent. At the Department of Energy, he oversaw $200 million in annual R&D across three national laboratories. He also led national security and fusion energy collaborations with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense and Atomic Energy Agency and was U.S. Department of Defense’s primary lead for fusion energy development.
Greenlaw and Dr. Van Dyk will work closely with Fuse leadership to provide strategic advice, expand relationships, and generate business across the U.S defense industrial base, international defense industrial base, and aerospace entities
“We’re thrilled to welcome Doug and Greg to our Advisory Board. Their extensive experience across the defense, energy, and aerospace sectors will be invaluable as we expand our partnerships and customers to accelerate fusion through next-generation pulsed power,” said Fuse Founder and CEO, JC Btaiche.
On joining the Advisory Board, Greenlaw commented,
"While Fuse’s technology is amazing, I’m also very impressed with the business model. Fuse is funding its journey to fusion energy production through non-dilutive capital while meeting critical government needs in radiation and nuclear effects testing. I’m excited to leverage my experience to help Fuse forge new partnerships and increase its impact.”
On the opportunity to work with Fuse, Dr. Greg Van Dyk remarked,
“As someone who has overseen major, technical defense and energy programs, I’m impressed by Fuse’s pulsed power technical approach and its TITAN machine. The team already has begun building strong relationships with the Department of Defense and Department of Energy, and I look forward to helping them deepen those relationships to bolster our national security.”
Greenlaw and Dr. Van Dyk join existing Fuse Advisory Board members:
Fuse is accelerating the world’s transition to fusion energy by securing clean, reliable, global energy abundance while also ensuring the U.S. and Allied competitiveness through nuclear effects testing.
